Steamer No.10’s Shakespeare in Lincoln Park production this summer is The Tragedy of Macbeth

What could be better than sitting in a City park on a summer evening?  The view takes your eye across the Hudson River to the foothills of the Berkshire’s, the marble temples of government to one side, 19th century homes to the other.  Before you Macbeth and his wife confront their ambition and begin their slide to madness.

                        July 30, Aug. 6 at 3:pm – at Steamer No.10 
Admission:     FREE  -  Donations are welcome
Where:               Lincoln Park – East lawn of Sunshine School – 116 Delaware Ave. Albany or Morton and Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.
Rain Location: Steamer No.10 Theatre, 500 Western Ave. Albany
Bring:                 Bring your lawn chair, blanket, picnic lunch/dinner
Parking             on the surrounding Lincoln Park road

The Tragedy of Macbeth – A brave Scottish general named Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia. Forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion, he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler. The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly take Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of madness and death.

Performance Dates: July 27 to August 6 at our Shakespeare in Lincoln Park stage

Thurs, Friday, Saturday evenings at 8:pm

Sunday Matinees will be at 3:pm at Steamer No.10 – 500 Western Ave. Albany
